born in Jelsa on the island of Hvar

graduated from the teachers’ school in Zadar. Since then he worked as a teacher in Hvar, Vis and Drniš. Privately studied music theory subjects, piano, composition and musical folklore.

passed the exam for piano and music teacher in secondary schools

passed theoretical subjects at the Conservatory in Prague and enrolled as a full-time student in the third year of composition studies (in the class of Prof. V. Novak) and conducting studies

graduated with honors in the study of composition and conducting at the Master School of the Conservatory in Prague

based on his study of musical folklore, he published the study “Ojkanje”
